A1009  fault in siemens sinamics V90 drive

A1009 alarm in siemens sinamics V90 drive indicates Control module overtemperature. This means the internal temperature of the control unit board is approaching its maximum limit, warning of a potential failure if cooling isn't improved. 

Cause:
The temperature of the control module (Control Unit) has exceeded the specified limit value.

Remedy:
  • Check the air intake for the Control Unit.
  • Check the Control Unit fan.
Note: The alarm automatically disappears after the limit value has been undershot.
